Invitation: Modi’s Foreign Policy after the Election

With the landslide victory of Narendra Modi and the BJP in the Indian elections what might he seek to achieve in his second term?  Strengthened at home, what will be his foreign policy priorities? How will he deal with the rise of China? Pakistan? The US? Japan? SE Asia? And where does the EU fit in?  EU-India relations have huge potential but have been held back by differences on trade and other issues. Could Modi help secure a breakthrough in the long-running EU-India trade talks? And how should the EU respond?

These and other issues will be discussed at a panel discussion on 4 July, from 1630-1745 in the Press Club, Rue Froissart 95, 1040 Brussels.
