EU-Asia Centre Wins Awards

The EU-Asia Centre has recently won a number of awards and tenders for studies, research and moderating conferences. These include the ASEM Business Forum, a tender on EU-Korea relations, another on EU-China relations and a grant from the Belgian MFA to organise a think tank meeting on EU-Asia relations.

Dr Fraser Cameron has been chosen to moderate the EU-Asia Business Forum which takes place back-to-back with the ASEM heads of state and government meeting in Vientiane on 3-5 November. This Forum brings together CEOs from Europe and Asia to discuss issues such as capital markets, financial regulation, sustainable growth models and corporate social responsibility.

Together with partners (FRIDE, KIEP) the Centre has been awarded a grant by the Korea Foundation to undertake a study on the prospects for EU-Korea relations.

Research Fellow, Dr Wenwen Shen and Dr Fraser Cameron, have been awarded a contract by the EU-China Research and Academic Network (ECRAN) to undertake a study on the bilateral relations of EU member states with China.

The Belgian MFA has awarded the EU-Asia Centre a grant to organise a meeting of European think tanks dealing with EU-Asia relations in October. For further details contact
